After seeing KUNOS Simulazioni making the decision on going with the Unreal engine, open an extensive early access program and even change some things here and there, Assetto Corsa Competizione is finnaly out in its full Blancpain GT Series glory.

Basically, what was released this Wednesday (29) was the rest of the content and playing modes needed, although this rest means a lot of content, with most of the 2018 grid still to be included and roughly half of the track roster being added.

And by having the compromise of being the official Blancpain GT Series game, Assetto Corsa Competizione included almost every single bit of content possible, which included even the N-GT cars that took part of the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa, being them two familiar models of the Assetto Corsa world - the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo and the Porsche 911-II GT3 Cup. A full championship mode that can be edited in a lot of details is available, including the option of racing only in the Sprint or Endurance cups.

Also included is a career mode, way more dynamic than the one featured in the first Assetto Corsa, resembling something like the Project CARS series. For most playing modes, you can choose car, team, entry and even the driver you will use, which has some faces known for doing double duty in real and simulation races, like Romain Monti, David Perel and Nicki Thiim.

Although lacking a matchmaking system, the online mode is prepared take use of the rating system introduced in ACC, and this system will take care of punishing reckless driving and reward close but fair battles.

It’s already known that an update with the 2019 Blancpain GT Series content will come for free for Early Access users, and plans are for a Summer release, which will probably not take long.
