Fate and Black Falcon join GoodSmile Spa 24H effort

GoodSmile Racing & Team UKYO is well known for having in all of their cars the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, which became an icon of the Itasha culture, but the Japanese team will change the theme to the Type-Moon’s Fate series and will count with an extra German help for their entry at the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa.

Although one of Fate’s characters, Rin Tohsaka, recites her spells in German, it isn’t this kind of support, but in fact Black Falcon Racing giving assistance to the entry known as GoodSmile & Type-Moon Racing, in the same fashion of the CRAFT-Bamboo entry at the Bathurst 12 Hour, the season starter for the Intercontinental GT Challenge, and this will be a plus compared to the 2017 running, when the team went for itself to Belgium.

Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tetsuya Kataoka come in their usual combo, though Adam Christodoulou joins the team in place of Kamui Kobayashi, who was part of the 2017 effort. Taniguchi and Kataoka have their long time partnership on their favor, while Christodoulou is even busier by already being on IGTC but also having VLN, British GT and many other commitments in his schedule.

As for the change of theme in the car, the Fate series is completing 15 years in 2019, so this was set as a proper celebration, with it being known for its wide range of visual novels, games, light novels and animes.

The TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa will be held on July 27th and 28th, and will add to GoodSmile Racing’s IGTC campaign, which also includes the Suzuka 10 Hours race at home.
