After testing the waters in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2018, XITE Racing and Oliver Bennett are ready to return for more by committing to the full 2019 season, which is expected to be pretty different of the past one.
Bennett will return with the same Mini Cooper SX1 he competed last year in both the World RX and in the debut ARX season, though the upgrades in which the team is working over the winter will make the British machine more competitive. Even Bennett himself admitted that the upcoming season will have quite a different scenario from 2018, in what will be essentially a fight of privateer teams for the title, like it was in the first season.
Although there’s still a lot of time for the first event of the season, the World RX of Abu Dhabi on April 5th, the grid is still practically unknown as Bennett is only the third driver to commit for it, along with Janis Baumanis and Timo Scheider, all while we wait for who will be in the ESMotosport Skodas.
