Via Italia Racing confirms Ferrari effort in Endurance Brasil

Current Endurance Brasil and regular visitor of the ROLEX 24 at Daytona, Via Italia Racing will bring the Ferrari 488 GT3 used in the United States to Brazil in order to defend their overall and GT3 titles, essentially replacing an Italian car for another.

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 used in 2018 wasn’t the first GT3 machine joining Endurance Brasil, but it was certainly one of the most impressive, fighting fiercely with the ones in the class, but also with the MetalMoro AJR horde for overall wins during the year, in which they succeeded three times, triumphing at Curtitiba, Interlagos and Velopark.

The car change in Via Italia Racing doesn’t mean the lineup will be different, as Chico Longo and Daniel Serra will share driving duties, though Marcos Gomes replaced Serra when he was racing elsewhere, so the possibility can be considered if in need.

The team is coming back from a good effort at the ROLEX 24, with a pole position and a ninth place finish in the GTD class, which was the best result of the team at the Daytona bankings, so the new machine will come with a really good impression to Brazil.

Via Italia will join a double Mercedes effort from Scuderia 111 and a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3 from Mottin Racing in the GT3 class, with the Endurance Brasil season start set for March 30th at Curitiba.
