The Ginettas are coming to Endurance Brasil

After being part of the defunct GT Brasil championship, the Ginetta brand is coming in force for a full run in Endurance Brasil, as unlike the start of the decade, the GT machinery will come along with spectacular prototypes.

Team Ginetta Brasil confirmed on social media that two examples of the Ginetta G57 prototype were being checked at Leeds, United Kingdom before the overseas travel that will see them arrive in Brazil, which will see carbon fiber machinery debut in the competition in 2019. Further details other than the machine still need to be revealed, though, and there's possibility that even the newer Ginetta G58 could be brought to South America.

Along with the pair of P1 class entries is a Ginetta G55 GT4, as it was revealed by Velocidade Curitiba, and will be the first GT4 spec car to compete in Endurance Brasil. Despite being one of the oldest cars homologated for the class, the G55 GT4 is still pretty competitive, and one of the confirmed drivers is Esio Vichiese, who split his 2018 driving duties between a Chevy Montana in Endurance Brasil and a trophy-winning campaign with the G55 GT4 in FARA USA.

Vichiese also had his share of Ginetta racing in Brazil, as he paired with Trans-Am champion Alice Cipriani in a Ginetta G50 GT4 run by Team Ginetta Brasil for the Chevrolet Absoluta 500 at Interlagos, though the race was over for them after only five laps.

The 2019 Endurance Brasil season starts on March 30th at Curitiba.
