2019 ARX calendar revealed

The debut season of the Americas Rallycross Championship proved that the fast-paced off-road discipline still has its place in the United States after the end of the Global Rallycross Championship in 2018, and the second season promises even more with a slightly extended calendar and new venues coming.

The 2019 ARX season will be composed of six events, logically losing the Silverstone debut as the event had more of a promotional aspect, while keeping the Canadian home off the World RX at Trois-Rivières and an event at the Circuit of the Americas despite the fact that the Austin-based venue will not be in the World stage schedule for 2019.

What’s new for 2019 is the inclusion of Mid-Ohio and Gateway, with two events each, and while the St. Louis oval will see a double header being made, the Lexington-based sports car course will be part of the competition by opening and closing the season. About the Mid-Ohio events, they will be run in a 1.1 kilometer circuit that will be located at the famous Keyhole section from where the IndyCar races usually start, while further details about the Gateway circuit layout are still unknown.

The 2019 season will start on June 9th and while it still doesn't have a big entry list, some names are already confirmed, like the shocking alliance between Scott Speed and a classic themed Subaru, along with Patrik Sandell and Chris Atkinson, and Steve Arpin is back to the M-SPORT built Ford Fiesta ST RX, and is seeking for another driver to join him in Loenbro Motorsports’ campaign.
