Assetto Corsa Competizione is now on Early Access Build 5

The 2019 has finally started for KUNOS Simulazioni in regards of the development of Assetto Corsa Competizione, and the official Blancpain GT game reaches the version 0.5 with the usual car and track combo being brought, along of other updates.

The car is in fact a rare vision as official content in the sim racing scene, as the peculiar Emil Frey Jaguar G3 is included in this update. The car is practically a species in extinction in the GT3 scene, as the manufacturers and customer programs dominated the scene, and the Emil Frey Jaguar G3 can be considered pretty successful as it is a privateer program, with 2018 being the top point of the effort as the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup Silver Cup title and some class wins crowned it.

Outside Assetto Corsa Competizione, only Forza Motorsport 7 has the Emil Frey Jaguar G3 as official content, which puts the Anglo-Swiss machine along with the Callaway C7 GT3-R, Acura NSX GT3, the previous generation Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and some others that only appear in one or two sim racing titles.

The Circuit Zolder is a bit more famous, appearing in titles like the two Project CARS and iRacing, and the Belgian circuit increases the list of venues that are making a debut in KUNOS Simulazioni’s products. Overtaking needs bravery and careful thinking, as some real life Blancpain GT races there proved you can throw your progress in the trash can with a single move.

For those still having their doubts about how lifelike is Zolder in Assetto Corsa Competizione, KUNOS Simulazioni staff released some images with side-by-side just for the sake of comparison.

Outside the usual content releases, the update to version 0.5 solves issues on the physics side, most focused on the electronics and tires, and the full changelog can be seen on the game’s official site.

Assetto Corsa Competizione remains PC focused during the Early Access period, though now you will pay 44.99 Euros to acquire it, with only a build left to be released before the full game appears.
