2019 Endurance Brasil calendar revealed

It’s early days in 2019 and some teams already revealed their intentions for the next Endurance Brasil season, though there wasn’t a calendar in place, at least until this Wednesday (23) as the calendar will feature eight events and more expansion and variety.

In comparison to 2018 there will be an extra event, though awaits confirmation of the venue and the race format, in what may be the first year where a venue doesn’t hold two races. The Brazilian championship also expands further in the country map, adding Goiânia to the calendar, and although it becomes more and more untied of the origins of the Endurance RS state championship, three of the four venues in Rio Grande do Sul stay in the calendar, with only Guaporé being out.

By coincidence, only the southern events are keeping the 3 hour race format, while the rest of the races will last 4 hours or more.

The season still starts at Curitiba with a four hour event similar to the 500 km race of 2018, though the race will be in late March instead of April, with the season also having a late end, with the Interlagos 6 hour race being only a few days from Christmas.

After Curitiba and Goiânia, the competitors go down south for the traditional visit to Tarumã and then go to a nearby visit to the Velopark. The Velo Città reappears in the schedule right after and then the final visit to the south of Brazil will be at Santa Cruz do Sul. The seventh round awaits confirmation, but the Interlagos finale is confirmed to late December.
