If the Circuit Jules Tacheny at Mettet couldn’t keep its place in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, it was down to Spa-Francorchamps to keep the top grade rallycross championship in Belgium, staring already in 2019.
The announcement came this weekend with a five year deal will see the event being named the World RX of Benelux, and while a track is a thing that’s still to be decided and announced, the plans are in place for a circuit that will incorporate the fast and famous Eau Rouge-Radillion section.
Also to be decided is the date of the event, although most of the 2019 World RX calendar remains in the dark, with the only confirmation being the season start at Abu Dhabi.
