Honda presents NSX GT3 Evo

Updating is the trend in the GT3 class at the moment, and Honda will join Audi and Lamborghini as they go against bringing a new car to present the new Honda NSX GT3 Evo, set to be ready to customers next year.

Following the trend of those who are investing in Evo versions of their current machinery, the NSX GT3 Evo will feature a good amount of changes in the aerodynamic area aimed first to reduce drag and improve top speeds, though improvements in cooling and handling are also in the list of benefits.

Other areas of improvement in the new NSX GT3 Evo are the inclusion of new turbochargers, better hardware and a new Bosch data logging system. The revised aero and turbocharger will also be part of a retrofitting kit that can be installed in the older generation NSX GT3.

The heart of the NSX GT3 Evo will remain the same as the twin turbo V6 engine will still be there, and while the engine and chassis will be built in the United States, it will be JAS Motorsport the responsible for the final assembly of the car, and the Italia-based company will also continue offering customer support worldwide, while HPD will do the job in the United States.

While the current NSX GT3 is a proven race winner worldwide, it still lacks the customer base of the main GT3 manufacturers, though efforts with JAS Motorsport are helping into promotion of the car in Europe.
