Assetto Corsa Competizione early access Build 2 released

As part of the Assetto Corsa Competizione early access development, the second build of the title was made available by KUNOS Simulazioni on Steam this Wednesday (10), bringing new content, new playing modes and the so much requested VR support.

Talking about the content, there’s a new track and a new car, and those are the Misano World Circuit in Italy, which adds the Blancpain GT Sprint circuit count to two, and the car is the old generation Bentley Continental GT3, which was used only by Parker Racing during the 2018 season, with all liveries used by the team in both Sprint and Endurance Cup. The already existing content obviously wasn’t forgotten and the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 and the Nürburgring GP circuit had some updates for them.

Also, Sprint Race weekends were added to the game modes, with practices, qualifying sessions and the races being totally adjustable to your liking, as well the Hotlap Superpole, which is a two lap shootout for the best time possible, and the races now feature a basic pit stop procedure. Some new challenges were also added to the Special Events, so if you want more of a motivation before going totally to multiplayer racing in the future, this is for you.

Also noticeable are some subtle changes in the UI, and they are in many areas, be them by inclusion of new features, like a sharpness slider in the Video options and pitch adjustment in the view settings, to simply a restyling of the current features, as force feedback, steer filtering for controllers and other things received sliders for easy adjustment.

If you’re still unsure to get Assetto Corsa Competizione at this point, put some thought into getting it this month, as the initial price of 24,99 Euros will last only until the Build 3 comes in November, going up to 34,99 Euros. The changelog of the version 0.2 can be seen in the official site.
