Lamborghini presents Huracán GT3 Evo

The Lamborghini Huracán is a pretty successful machine when it comes to on track activity, as lots of customer teams represent the Italian brand in different places of the world on single make or in GT3 level, but as it happened with the Huracán Super Trofeo, the Huracán GT3 is going to another level as the Huracán GT3 Evo will start racing in 2019.

As it happened with the Super Trofeo version, the Huracán GT3 Evo is clearly different from its predecessor in the visual aspect, mostly due to the solutions that were put to improve cooling, like the Super Trofeo-like central rib, and the lateral recesses have more pronounced flicks to improve front downforce. At the rear, the wing is followed by revised endplates and the improved diffuser are intended to bring more downforce to the rear end, and all combined should give more cornering ability and stability in the new car. As it was the case with the original Huracán GT3, the GT3 Evo also has a collaboration with Dallara in the aero part.

Other important changes include revised suspension components in the front and rear and an adjustable system to control the level of power steering, as well a new ABS system.

The V10 engine based on the road going Huracán is still there, but with new camshafts and titanium valves to also improve maneuvering and improve reliability, and given the fact that the first of the old Huracán came in an Endurance race, expect this one to be equally successful.

The Huracán GT3 Evo is available to be ordered and those who have the old Huracán GT3 can get an upgrade GT3 Evo kit to be installed. The debut of the new model will be at the 2019 ROLEX 24 Hours at Daytona, and the new Huracán is expected to face some serious competition during the year, as Audi, Aston Martin, Porsche and McLaren have already shown new cars or evolved versions of their current machines.
