Travis Pastrana will join the ARX grid at COTA

The Americas Rallycross Championship will finally debut at home soil with the standalone round at the Circuit of the Americas coming soon, and Subaru Rally Team USA will reinforce them for the occasion with the addition of Travis Pastrana to the team.

Pastrana will return to rallycross in a third WRX STi machine alongside championship regulars Patrik Sandell and Chris Atkinson, after being a Subaru driver during the 2015 Global Rallycross season. He is what you can call an all-rounder in essence, with his commitments in extreme sports topping a list that has NASCAR, Stadium Super Trucks, Rally America and even some sportscar racing like the Porsche Supercup and the ROLEX 24, but even with a resume like this and the knowledge of the car, the challenge of a new track will appear in his way, with most of the ARX grid not having a single lap in the recently built venue at Austin, Texas.

The first COTA round of the 2018 ARX season will be held on July 14th with free admission to the fans, being this sort of a test event for the venue ahead of the much awaited World RX of USA event, the first time that the FIA World Rallycross Championship will visit the United States.
