Factory lineup confirmed for CRAFT Bamboo Porsche at Suzuka 10H

The regulations of the Intercontinental GT Challenge offer a certain degree of liberty to the manufacturers that they can take advantage of, and Porsche will do so with some help of CRAFT Bamboo Racing for the Suzuka 10 Hours, the Asian leg of the competition.

The Hong Kong based team had already confirmed the entry a long time ago, but the drivers part had to wait a little as they will count with full Porsche support for the race, so in place of the regular Blancpain GT Asia Series drivers, Laurens Vanthoor, Kevin Estre and Matthieu Jaminet will take care of the driving.

Vanthoor and Estre will come with a valuable amount of experience as LMGTE regulars in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, and are jumping out straight of a dominant class win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Pink Pig liveried 911 RSR GTE, and add to it the fact that they were part of the lineup of the KÜS TEAM75 Bernhard Porsche during the 2017 24 Hours of Spa, an entry that remained a contender for a win during a long period.

Jaminet is coming from the successful Porsche junior program and is into GT3 racing since 2017, being currently an ADAC GT Masters regular, and he competed in various long-distance races in order to build up mileage and experience, as the French driver has in his resume the Dubai 24 Hours, the ROLEX 24, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 24 Hours of Spa and the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and even has a VLN win to top it with laurels.

The Suzuka 10 Hours will debut in the Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar on August 26th.
