New Aston Martin Vantange will appear in GT3 and GT4 form

The current GT3 and GT4 versions of the Aston Martin Vantage remain competitive in the international GT scene, specially in Pro-Am ruled competitions, but truth is that the British manufacturer and Prodrive are dealing with a rather old car compared to the opponents they’re facing, and the launch of a new Vantage road car was the trigger for a new generation of race cars to come from Banbury.

The new Vantage GT3 and GT4 will be homologated in March 2019, but Aston Martin is already taking orders of the car for those who are interested. Although the customer base isn’t as big as the ones from Audi, Mercedes and Ferrari, Aston Martin has quite a bunch of loyal teams under its wing, like TF Sport, Beechdean Racing, and CMRT Eurasia. There’s even an example in Brazil which was set to race in Endurance Brasil, but still hasn’t turned a wheel in a competitive environment.

Unlike the previous generation, all versions of the Vantage will race with a 4.0-litre V8 engine, closing the relationship between GT4, GT3 and even GTE, which was already a goal to reach in the current crop of cars, as some parts were already shared between the previous models.
