Ferrari Challenge is now on Project CARS 2

Slightly Mad Studios released the latest update for Project CARS 2 this Thursday (5), introducing the Ferrari 488 Challenge, the car used in the one-make series of the Maranello manufacturer, and thus, bringing the Ferrari Challenge class to the title.

The Ferrari 488 Challenge adds another single-make GT championship to a list that already has the Ginetta Junior, Ginetta GT5 Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo and the defunct Renault R.S. 01 Trophy, but unlike the mentioned series, the work in Ferrari Challenge took a further step, with proper separation between its regional series, being them the Asian-Pacific, European and North American ones, and also the official liveries of every car present in these series during the debut season of the 488 Challenge in 2017.

By the way, the Ferrari Challenge series concept practically works like the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, as the regional series compete throughout the year to then meet in an international event at the end of the season, called Ferrari Finali Mondiali. The last Finali Mondiali was held at Mugello, and the 2018 edition will be held at Monza, which is present in Project CARS 2.

About the car, the 488 Challenge is a massive step forward compared to the 458 Challenge EVO, though it's also quite a handful in terms of driving, as the 3.9 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine delivers not only an acceleration from 0 to 100 kph in less than three seconds, but also 670 hp to deal with. Without assists, you'll have to accelerate with care as you may feel the car sliding even when going past the fourth gear, but after this is smooth sailing to the top speed.

The other content included this time was a pair of layouts of the Porsche Test Centre on-road circuit, being them the short and the dynamic circuits, with a bit more than 2 km in length each, as well a series of updates that are mentioned in Project CARS 2 Steam page.

The 488 Challenge is free content, so just update Project CARS 2 in your platform and the car will be available.
