Porsche Legends Pack released for Project CARS 2

Although quite a long time has passed since Porsche ended its contract with EA Games and its license started appearing everywhere, its expansion into sim racing is always pleasing to see, as with the case of the most recent Project CARS 2 DLC, the Porsche Legends Pack.

The appearance of the pack was only a question of time as its existence was known long ago, and this Tuesday (6) eight cars and a new track were released, with heavy focus on the racing history of the Stuttgart manufacturer.

The track itself is a ground breaker in sim racing as Project CARS 2 adds the second manufacturer test center to its track list, with the Porsche on-road circuit from its Leipzing facility added to the Mercedes Ice Race track. The testing bed for every brand new Porsche model and home of many events like the Porsche Driving Experience has one layout at the moment, but the variety of corners, ranging from fast open ones to bus-stop chicanes, can be very tricky and will add experience to deal with almost every corner in the other circuits in Project CARS 2.

About the cars, the flagship machine of this pack is the current Porsche 911 RSR GTE that competes in the FIA WEC and IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, though it only has the FIA WEC liveries on it. Lots of downforce and stability even without assists will help you bring the best of its 510-hp flat-six engine.

After this, here comes history with a Can-Am class added to Project CARS 2 for obvious reasons, as the 1200 hp 917/10 was added to be a heavy challenge for any driver, as turbo lag and quick acceleration after this always brings surprises. The historic list also has the race-winning 917K relative, the all-rounder 908/03 which succeeded the 917 and the 935/78 and 935/78-81 represent the thrilling Group 5 era.

Two road cars were added to this pack as the Porsche Carrera GT with its race-ready V10 and the all-wheel drive Porsche 959 S, heavily related to rallying.

The Porsche Legends Pack is already available for Season Pass holders or can be bought for US$ 9.99.
