Peugeot keeps lineup for 2018 World RX season

The main Peugeot side in the FIA World Rallycross Championship didn’t have much to change, but one of the points that saw differences from 2017 is a really important one, as the French manufacturer took control of the Hansen operation, injecting full factory support in the team whilst keeping the lineup the same.

Peugeot was rumored with other options in their hands like a comeback to Le Mans but in the end decided that the resources once given to the cross country rally program would switch to rallycross, and what was known as Team Peugeot-Hansen now appears as Team Peugeot Total, but don’t be fooled, they still have that family feel as a good chunk of the team is composed by the Hansen family, including drivers.

Still under the command of Kenneth Hansen, the lineup remains as a trio as Sébastien Loeb, Timmy Hansen and Kevin Hansen return for more than what was achieved in 2017, as they were outpaced by the EKS Audis and the PSRX Volkswagens, and with Peugeot increasing their participation in the team, a lineup shuffle was a possibility.

Team Peugeot Total is the only squad which presented a trio of machines for the upcoming World RX season, as EKS scaled back its program to two cars, and PSRX VW is staying with two Polo RX cars and GCK is doing the same with the Megane RS RX, while fellow Peugeot team Sébastien Loeb Racing will appear with a single car.
