Honda NSX GT3 to race in the FIA GT World Cup

The Honda NSX GT3 was expected to make a debut in overseas territory only in 2018, but an initial presentation in form of a FIA GT World Cup entry was confirmed to the JAS Motorsport-built car, with the Italian team doing the running of this entry.

The Honda NSX GT3 is the next step for the manufacturer in GT3 after around two years running the car in the United States under the Acura brand in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship in the Pirelli World Challenge with RealTime Racing and Michael Shank Racing, which brought good results that justified an expansion of the program, and so came this opportunity to race at Macau.

To drive this single Honda entry the assigned driver was Renger van der Zande, an expert when it comes to racing at the narrow street circuit, with only a single finish outside the top-5 since the FIA GT World Cup was created in 2015, racing then as a factory Mercedes driver.

The FIA GT World Cup event will be held on November 18th and 19th, with the last winner being Laurens Vanthoor in a somewhat controversial way as his Audi R8 LMS flipped in the early stages of the race and forced a red flag.

According to Sportscar365, the Honda NSX GT3 will have 12 models available for clients, with some clients already confirming purchase of the car.
