Porsche Pack Vol. 3 is the racing paradise in Assetto Corsa

This Tuesday (20) the final volume of the Porsche Pack DLC content was released to Assetto Corsa, with more racing classics, supercars and various improvements in the KUNOS Simulazioni title.

We saw a late substitution happen in this DLC as development constraints held back the release of the new Porsche 911 RSR GTE to January 2017, being replaced by the Porsche 911 Turbo S. But for those who got the Porsche Pack Vol. 3, the LMGTE entry will be completely free as an update to the package.

The vintage section came pretty strong even though there is only two cars, The Porsche 917K and the Porsche 908 LH. Both cars are pretty fun to drive in anger, and setups go as meticulous enough to enable the player to adjust the rear flaps and wings independently.

Between the modern racecars is the flagship machine of this pack, the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 version 2016, a 1000 hp monster with outstanding cornering and acceleration that conquered not only the 24 Hours of Le Mans but also the FIA World Endurance Championship title.

It comes along with the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R which almost took honors at Macau and Sepang recently, and as a complete surprise the 2017 version of the 911 GT3 Cup model makes presence, way before any teams put the real car into competitive action.

The road cars have way less presence in this pack, but the 911 R that came with the 911 Turbo S should be on par with the 911 GT3 RS in terms of enjoyment as you accelerate them. On the road going side is the last free car of the series, the Porsche Macan SUV.

Lots of improvements were made in the version 1.11 for PC, with the latest V10 tires being now on all GT3 and GT2 cars, improved physics and some tweaks here and there, but of course the feature that stands out the most is the custom championship mode, where you can select rules from penalties to points table, the races and the entries with the opportunity to select the livery and name of your opponents. If you want to see the full changelog, it’s everything on Assetto Corsa’s Steam page.
