LMP3 additions improve the Asian LMS grid

If the 2015/2016 of the LMP3 class of the Asian Le Mans Series was properly a one team show even though we had three cars, now things seem to improve as two other teams are confirmed in the grid.

The Ginetta LMP3 will already have a pretty decent group as ARC Bratislava and PRT Racing bring three machines, and another team, Aylezo Racing, acquired the fourth British car to run in the Asian LMS. Under the name of Aylezo Ecotint Racing, team boss Zen Low will have the company of Mike Simpson at the wheel of the car. Low was part of the Atlantic Racing Team lineup that raced in the CN class with a Wolf GB08, another class that had a short grid last season, with only two cars on track. Simpson is a race winner when it comes to LMP3 class, as he scored a win in the last race of the 2015 European Le Mans Series season at Estoril, along with a second place finish in the class debut at Silverstone last year.

A bit more recent, Infinity Race Engineering has confirmed that diversity of machines in the LMP3 class will still be on, as they formed a partnership with ADESS AG which will see the Malaysian team with a single ADESS 03 and with the task of providing parts and support to any prospective clients.

Infinity Race Engineering will come from a GT background, as they raced mostly in GT Asia along with the Asian LMS events, all of them with a Ferrari 458 GT3, which gave a class win to them at Buriram, Thailand, and even made them serious title contenders in the GT class.

Although everything here were positive news for Infinity, there’s no confirmation about the drivers or if they will continue with Dominic Ang and Joshua Hunt.
