Photo of the weekend

Photo coming from the streets of St. Petersburg, where dominance was the word of order on Pirelli World Challenge.

EFFORT Racing is known for a long time by being a major force in the competition, enough to rival closely to Cadillac Racing if not better, but the dominance of the team this season is going beyong good. Patrick Long won the first at the Circuit of the Americas, while Michael Lewis did a clean sweep this weekend, winning both races and making the scene of the photo a pretty familiar one.

The Saturday win was done just driving the hell out of his Porsche 911 GT3-R, leaving Alvaro Parente, Johnny O'Connell and Michael Cooper more than 10 seconds behind after the 50 minutes of racing. The Sunday race has most of its time under yellow flag and behind the Safety Car as the remains of the didstrous crash of GT Cup driver Corey Fergus, which also moved the barriers of the track. After that and another caution when Alvaro Parente and Austin Cindric were sent to the wall left only two laps for Lewis to defend himself from James Davison and his Nissan GT-R GT3 in a two lap shootout, winning by a bit more than 1 second at the line.

Along with Lewis, Martin Fuentes in GT-A, Sloan Urry in GT Cup and Jack Roush Jr. in the GTS class were the clean sweepers of the weekend, with almost no opposition to their victories.
