Wilks is back to the Mini!

Prepare yourselves for fierce action right at the start of September, as the World RX of France will mark the return of British driver Guy Wilks to the competition.
The ninth round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship had all the reasons to make the fans get stuck to their seats and screens, as Frenchman Yvan Muller was already confirmed to make his rallycross debut, and now Wilks will also be part of the show in the same JRM Mini RX machine that helped him make it to the final in the Lydden Hill round in the end of May.
The fact that Wilks made it to the final at his home round was impressive for itself, but another fact that puts high regard in the second call of the British driver is that Wilks was the only Mini driver who made it past of the qualifying heats, so even though he is out of the car for about 4 months and Loheac isn’t his home track, he is expected to bring out all the full potential of the Mini RX.
As it was made in Trois-Rivieres, JRM will send two cars to France, as the local hero Guerlain Chicherit will drive the second Mini, but even though he’s doing his World RX debut, he already has some experience with dirt, dust and going sideways, as the experience in JWRC and Rally Dakar will probably play on his favour.
And even though the World RX of France will be on September 6th, you won’t have to wait that long time to see sideways action, doors banging and thrilling racing, as the championship will hold its eighth round of the 2015 season at Hell, Norway, on August 23rd, in its return to the European tracks.
