Photo of the weekend

Photo coming from Sebring, Florida, where the 63rd edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring was held for the TUDOR United Sportscar Championship, writing some records on the pages of history.

The obviously dirt-covered Corvette DP of Action Express Racing survived the whole race as the front runners suffered with crashes, mechanical problems and errors during the twelve hours of action. After some lead changes with the Chip Ganassi Ford EcoBoost Riley DP and the visitflorida.com Racing Corvette DP, the Mustang Sampling-liveried car kept the lead until the end.

This win for the current TUSC champions brought some interesting facts. This was Chevrolet's first overall victory at Sebring since 1965, when Jim Hall and Hap Sharp brought the Chevy-powered Chaparral 2 to see the checkered flag first.

"Primeiro" is the word that describes the feat of two thirds of the winning trio, most specifically the Portuguese speaking drivers João Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi, as it was also the first time that a Portugal and Brazil had drivers in the top step of the podium at Sebring.
