Photo(s) of the weekend

There were two moments that deserved a picture, both at Interlagos, that held the season finale of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

First of them is not only a mark of the good championship we had this year, but a mark of history.

Neel Jani, Marc Lieb and Romain Dumas were the responsible guys to bring Porsche, not only to the top step of the podium of the 6 Hours of São Paulo, but as well to give to Porsche the first overall victory since the times when the monster called Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 fought almost on equal terms with the Audi R10 TDI LMP1.

The trio of the No. 14 Porsche 919 Hybrid started behind of the sister No. 20 car, but managed to take advantadge of the good performance of the car the double stint strategy, while the Toyota team lacked tyre resistance, and the Audi team lacked performance, especially straightline speed. A caution ended race, due to the heavy crash of the No. 20 car just helped them to see the checkered first.

With this Porsche win, all three LMP1-H manufacturers gone to the top step of the podium this season, which ended a more than exciting 2014 season.

And talking about endings, the next photo shows a legend in a place that suits him the most. Even though the No. 1 Audi R18 ended in third place, Tom Kristensen ended his racing carreer in an excellent way,on track, fighting until the end, and then into the podium.

The great Dane will always deserve all good wishes for his future, as the past memories he gave us are the ideal showcase of why he deserves such admiration.
