Photo coming from Shanghai, China, where Sebastien Buemi and Anthony Davidson didn't let the absence of team-mate Nicolas Lapierre affect their performance, as they won the 6 Hours of Shanghai, sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. It was the fourth win in the season for the No. 8 Toyota TS040 Hybrid, as well the third 1-2 finish for Toyota.
What started as a pole position for Porsche soon became near total domination for Toyota, as the japanese cars entered in a different pit strategy from the rest of their rivals, helped by a yellow flag period right at the start of the race. This, and the problems that the Porsches had, as well the lack of performance from the Audi cars opened the way to victory.
If everything goes right for the now No. 8 duo in the next round at Bahrain, Buemi and Davidson can conquer the Drivers and the Manufacturers Championships with one round left to the end of the season.
