Detroit GT city

It looks like the guys of Pirelli World Challenge couldn't just stay away from Detroit, as series promoters WC Vision announced that PWC will visit the Motor City again in 2015.

In an announcement made today (04), it was revealed that the GT and GT-A classes will race in the famous Detroit Belle Isle street circuit, in a double-header weekend scheduled to May 29th-31st. Sunday race will be featured with a 90-minute TV broadcast, thanks to PWC's new TV partner.

The circuit was part of the 2014 calendar, when Cadillac's Johnny O'Connell won the two races of the weekend. A return for 2015 was expected, but the Detroit weekend wasn't listed in the first 2015 calendar release due to the fact that space limitations to accommodate the GT,  GT-A and GT Cup class cars proved to be an issue no make negotiations go ahead, what was rethought later in order to make the race happen.

And if the Pirelli World Challenge races aren't enough, the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix weekend will feature a TUDOR United Sportscar Championship round, as well the IndyCar Series double-header.
