Photo of the weekend

Photo from Beijing, China, where Brazilian Audi driver Lucas di Grassi made history, as he was the first driver to be on the top spot of the Formula E podium, as di Grassi counted with a bit of luck to win the Beijing ePrix this Saturday.

Every driver needs to have skills, good mentality and reflexes, and time to time some luck to win. Lady luck smiled to di Grassi on the last lap, when he was holding Frenchman Franck Montagny to mantain his third position.

A few meters at the front, Nick Heidfeld tried to pass the race leader Nicolas Prost, when the French e.dams driver made missed the timing to block Heidfeld and they crashed. Prost stopped with suspension damage, and Heidfeld was catapulted by the kerb and hit the fence. Luckilly, the hit wasn't helmet-on, and Heidfeld got out of his Venturi car totally fine, and gone into Prost's direction to say "a few words" to his Rebellion Racing team-mate.

Accompanying di Grassi on the podium was Andretti's Franck Montagny and Virgin's Sam Bird, that was promoted to third after Audi ABT's Daniel Abt was punished due to not attend to a penalty.

The next Formula E race will be held at Putrajaya, Malaysia, on November 22nd.
