Photo of the weekend

The photo of the weekend is from the Auto Club Speedway, in Fontana, CA. IndyCar Series ended the 2014 season with the title battle totally open, but Will Power prevailed over his Penske team-mate Hélio Castroneves and SPM's French ace Simon Pagenaud.

Power won the title basically on what he did the whole season: reliability. A 9th place finish was enough to just ratify his lead, and with lady luck leaving Castroneves with a late race penalty, and a poor performance from Pagenaud, it was just run to the finish line and then to the trophy.

This is Power's 1st title, and it is more special because in three occasions he had conditions, but failed to be on top of IndyCar standings. This title ends Roger Penske's team 8 year title draught, as it was Sam Hornish Jr. that conquered IndyCar for Penske in 2006.

Now IndyCar returns only in 2015, with aero kits and new circuits, teams and drivers.
