Only seven

It seems like in the Asian Le Mans Series front, things aren't going well regarding grid numbers. If in the innaugural round of the 2014 season, the 3 Hours of Inje in South Korea, we saw an 8-car field being decreased to just six cars due to accident damages, the 3 Hours of Fuji in Japan is following the same way.

It was expected a larger field at Fuji Speedway, but date clashes with Super GT's Pokka 1000 at Suzuka and the 12 Hours Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race at Sepang, that will be realized on the same August 31st of the Fuji event, any grid increasing if almost off possibility, as the entry list would see some GT300 and GT3 machinery in the grid.

Thankfully, most of the entry list is the same that ran at Inje.

In the LMP2 category, OAK Racing brings japanese driver Keiko Ihara to team-up with Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng. Their opponents in the class will be the same No. 27 Eurasia Motorsport ORECA 03, with chinese Pu Jun Jin replacing Tacksung Kim, maybe due to the poor performance of the korean driver on his stint at Inje.

The CN category will have two cars again, with CRAFT-Bamboo Racing driver/owner Frank Yu being replaced by Samson Chan, that will team-up with Kevin Tse and Mathias Beche. Their opponents will be again in a Wolf GB08, but the team will be Avelon Formula, that will replace ATL Wolf Asia.

The GT category will have the grid that started at Inje, being represented by the three entries from the AAI-RSTRADA team, with some few changes. The No. 92 car will be a Nissan GT-R GT3 model replacing the BMW Z4 GT3, with no changes in the lineup. The other change is on the No. 91 BMW Z4, with Dutchman Carlo van Dam replacing Oliver Millroy.

The entry list to the 3 Hours of Fuji can be seen here.
