Photo of the weekend

The photo of the weekend is from Pocono Raceway, USA, where Juan Pablo Montoya got his first victory in his comeback year to IndyCar, proving that the switch from NASCAR to Indy was for real, fighting for victories. But it seems that the situation is a little bit better than expected.

After showed signs that Montoya can run at the front pack, with 4 Top-5 finishes, taking notice of the 2nd place in the Colombian 1-2-3 in the Race 1 at Houston, he tamed the Tricky Triangle, by not only being polesitter for the first time in his comeback, but staying competitive all the time as woes affected his team-mate, Will Power, and a misjudged fuel-saving strategy affected Chip Ganassi's Tony Kanaan. Montoya's team-mate Helio Castroneves finished second, and fellow Colombian Carlos Muñoz finished third.

The incredible part of this feat is that Montoya's last oval track win in an open-wheel series was in 2000, in the defunct CART Series at Gateway Int'l Raceway, with nowadays rival team Chip Ganassi that helped him crown his first title in 1999 and the 2000 Indy 500.
