AsLMS calendar updated: goodbye Zhuhai, come on Buriram

This week the Asian Le Mans Series calendar had slight change for the coming 2014 season.

The 3 Hours of Fuji, in Japan, originally to be held on August 10th was moved to August 31st. But the real change comes now.

China lost one of its rounds, as the 3 Hours of Zhuhai event was removed from the calendar. To compensate this, a new race was announced: the fourth and penultimate round of the 2014 season will be held on Thailand, more precisely on the new Buriram United International Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke. The race will be occur on 23 November, two weeks before the already planned Super GT round on the same circuit.

The 2014 provisional calendar is like this at the moment:

Inje, Korea: July 20th
Fuji, Japan: August 31st
Shanghai, China: October 11th
Buriram, Thailand: November 23rd
Sepang, Malaysia: December 7th

The Buriram United International Circuit will be 4.554 km-lenghty, with twelve turns, and it's talked that a 315 km/h top speed can be reached.
