Rock you like a Huracan

Lambo fans, be happy! A new GT3 contender of the italian manufacturer may hit the road next year, the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4.

The idea is to first appear with a Super Trofeo model of the new car, that would enter the single-make championship in 2015, although the current model, the Gallardo, would be elegible to race too. After that, the GT3 platform will take shape, but without a certain time to be racing.

The Huracán is 10 percent lighter than Gallardo, and is equipped with a 5.2 litre V10-powered engine producing 610 HP. In an interview to Sportcar365, Giorgio Sanna, chief test and development driver of Lamborghini, said that in the Nardó circuit, the new model is 2 seconds faster than Gallardo, what is good news in terms of performance, since Huracán will use the same engine specs than Gallardo.

I'm not really a Lambo fan, but it's always good to know that a new contender is coming, specially if it has tradition attached to its name. Let's wait until the final version show up.
