Photo of the Weekend

The photo of the weekend couldn't be other than that one, from Weissach, Germany.

And finally two more mysteries of the new Porsche LMP1 contender are revealed: the official name of the car and the driver lineup for 2014 events.

About the car: it will be called Porsche 919 Hybrid, following a logical sequence in the model naming, coming after the legendary Porsche 917 and the 918 Spyder, that has features that will be applied on the 919 Hybrid.

Finally, the drivers: everyone in motorsport knew that Porsche had already 4 named drivers: Timo Bernhard, that has on his curriculum a LM24 win with Audi, in 2010; Romain Dumas, Berhard's partner ata that occasion; Neel Jani, that previously driven the Rebellion Racing Lola B12/60; and Mark Webber, ex-F1 driver that driven to Red Bull Racing and previously driven to Mercedes in Le Mans and in the FIA GT Championship(I'll talk about this in a future post).

So, until this event, called The Night of Champions, two seats were open. Were, because Brendon Hartley and Marc Lieb were announced an the last drivers to complete the lineup.

Hartley has in his curriculum specially the 2 times he ran in Le Mans, in 2012 and 2013, with Murphy Prototypes, with a 7th place top finish, and an 2013 win at ELMS Paul Ricard round.

Lieb had properly only GT experience, but he has 3 Le Mans 24 Hours wins, in 2005, 2010 and 2013, all of them driving a Porsche, as the factory driver he is.

There's more info to be known about the new Porsche, so le'ts wait and see.
